ATLANTA -- The Atlanta Hawks have released an open letter of apology to the team, fans and city of Atlanta, saying the organization did not do the right thing to correct racially inflammatory words and innuendos. Vapormax Flyknit 3 Scontate . The apology, signed by CEO Steve Koonin, was released on Saturday, one day after the team announced general manager Danny Ferry was taking an indefinite leave of absence following his racially charged comments about Luol Deng. On Sunday, co-owner Bruce Levenson announced he will sell his controlling share of the team following the release of his racially inflammatory comments in an email to Ferry and the teams other owners. Koonin says the Hawks must own these shortcomings and failures. He says the team will work with a diversity consultant and hire a chief diversity officer. Vapormax 97 Silver . After the host Timbers opened the scoring in the third minute, Fernandez smashed home a late second-half penalty to salvage Whitecaps FCs undefeated record at the Rose City Invitational. The Caps finish the tournament as the top team with a 2W-0L-1D record and enter next weekends season opener undefeated in four preseason matches. Vancouvers squad on Saturday looked similar to the one that defeated Portmore United 5-1 last weekend, though there were a few changes. Right back Ethen Sampson and striker Kenny Miller came in to replace Steven Beitashour and Darren Mattocks, who are both away on international duty. Midfielder Gershon Koffie also drew into the starting lineup, which moved Russell Teibert up to the right wing. And goalkeeper David Ousted made his first appearance of the tournament. Saturdays contest got off to a physical start at Providence Park, which is often the norm in meetings between these Cascadia rivals. In fact, there were a total of 16 fouls committed in the first half alone. Unfortunately for the Blue and White, however, an early foul led to Portlands first goal of the match – a Will Johnson free kick from 25 yards in the third minute. The Caps nearly equalized a few minutes later when Fernandez let loose a curling strike from distance, but Timbers goalkeeper Donovan Ricketts tipped it just over the goal. Aside from the early marker, there wasnt much between Vancouver and Portland in the opening 45 minutes. The host Timbers came oon in spurts, but the Caps back line anchored by Jay DeMerit and Andy OBrien kept them at bay. Vapormax Off White Bianche. For Whitecaps FC, Uruguayan midfielder Nicolas Mezquida looked particularly dangerous. The 22-year-old showed great vision on a throughball to Miller in the 18th minute and some nifty footwork in midfield a few minutes later. The Caps couldnt connect in the final third, however, and it just about cost them . Portland had a great chance to double their lead in the 35th minute, as Maximilano Urruti slipped behind the Caps defence only to float his ensuing effort over the crossbar. They came close again just after the break, when Darlington Nagbe found some space in the middle of the park before letting loose a heavy strike from 20 yards that went just wide. At the other end of the park, Whitecaps FC showed some attacking flair again in the second half. And they received a boost just after the hour-mark, when local lad Erik Hurtado and Argentine midfielder came Matias Laba into the match – followed shortly by winger/striker Kekuta Manneh. And the trio combined to set up Vancouvers equalizer in the 79th minute. After a receiving a pass from Laba in midfield, Hurtado took a touch and released Manneh into the box before the Gambian was hauled down by Timbers defender Jack Jewsbury. Then Fernandez smashed home the ensuing penalty kick to level the score at 1-1. Manneh had a pair of half-chances in the dying stages of the match, but in the end the Cascadia rivals battled to a hard-fought 1-1 draw – just as they did in each of their three regular season meetings in 2013. With the draw, Whitecaps FC conclude the preseason with 4W-2L-1D record. ' ' '

Thats five more players in two days

Nine players have withdrawn from the Australian Open through the first two days due to injury, including No. Nick Bosa Super Bowl Jersey . 12 Tommy Haas, No. 13 John Isner and No. 21 Philipp Kohlschreiber. Thats five more players in two days than the entire 2013 U.S. Open in September of last year. While the final Grand Slam at the end of a gruelling season might be expected to have more impact on the health of players, the Australian Open is taking out competitors at an alarming rate to kick off the 2014 schedule. And although none of the nine players officially retired due to the roaring heat in Melbourne, one would think its played a part. Heat has always been an issue for this event but it seems to be getting worse. What should be done to make things better for the players? The average temperature in Melbourne in January - the first month of summer Down Under - is 25.9 C. The average temperature for the opening two days of the seasons first Grand Slam was 36 C. Despite any match-ending issues related to the heat, there is no shortage of players - and a ball boy - struggling to maintain their composure under the sun. But tournament organizers have not suspended any matches as yet. "I think its inhumane, I dont think its fair to anybody, to the players, to the fans, to the sport, when you see players pulling out of matches, passing out," Canadian Frank Dancevic told reporters after his first-round loss in which he collapsed on the sideline during the second set. "Ive played five set matches all my life and being out there for a set and a half and passing out with heat stroke, its not normal." The tournament has contingencies in place to deal with the heat, which was put into effect Tuesday by granting womens matches an extra 10-minute break between the second and third sets. Stopping a match, however, is at the discretion of tournament director Wayne McKewen as part of a new rule instituted this year. "We have to reach a minimum threshold and have a forecast that it will be sustained for a reasonable time," McKewen said in a statement. "That didnt happen. While conditions were hot and uncomfortable, the relatively low level of humidity ensured play would continue." Organizers use the Wet Bulb Global Temperature composite, which factors in humidity and wind in an attempt to assess the conditions more accurately. On Tuesday, temperatures were expected to reach as high as 42 C. Rod Laver Arena and Hisense Arena are the only two venues with retractable roofs and air conditioning, but have yet to be utilized. All other courts remain at the mercy of the heat and the forecast is calling for high 30s on Wednesday and low 40s for Thursday and Friday. Two-time defending champion Victoria Azarenka said the court at Rod Laver was "like youre dancing in a frying pan." Is it time for organizers to provide more cooling options, including stopping matches before its too late? Could the tournament begin earlier or later and still comfortably sit between the U.S. Open in September and the French Open in May? What more can be done to combat the uncomfortable and potentially dangerous conditions at the Australian Open? As always, its Your! Call. Terrell Owens Super Bowl Jersey . the Tennessee Titans on Sunday

Nashville, TN (SportsNetwork. Walt Merrill Jersey Retro .com) - Chris Ivory scored on a 1-yard touchdown run with 3:09 remaining in the fourth quarter to lift the New York Jets to a 16-11 win over the Tennessee Titans on Sunday. The Titans made it interesting and nearly came up with another Music City Miracle on the games last play. Delanie Walker took the final lateral to the Jets 9-yard line. Geno Smith completed 16-of-28 passes for 179 yards with one touchdown for the Jets (3-11), who snapped a three-game losing streak. Well take the victory. All the hard work in the class room and on the practice field finally paid off, said Jets head coach Rex Ryan. Quarterback Jake Locker made his first start for the Titans (2-12) since Week 5, but left the game late in the second quarter with a left shoulder injury. Locker started because rookie Zach Mettenberger re-injured his right shoulder last week. Charlie Whitehurst replaced Locker and was 10-of-24 for 203 yards in his first action since Week 7. Tennessee has dropped eight in a row, the clubs longest skid since the 1994 Houston Oilers lost 11 straight. Ryan Succop nailed a 51-yard field goal to give the Titans an 11-10 lead with 2:02 left in the third quarter. After a series of punts, the Jets marched 76 yards for the go-ahead score. An unsportsmanlike conduct penalty on a third-down incompletion kept the drive alive. If not for the penalty, New York was looking at a three-and-out. Chris Johnson, who spent his first six seasons with the Titans, then ran for a 37-yard gain on a direct snap, setting up a 1st-and-goal at the 4-yard line. Smith threw incomplete on third down, but cornerback Coty Sensabaugh was flagged for pass interference. Ivory ran into the end zone on the next play. The Jets went for two and Jeremy Kerley dropped a pass. Succop kicked a 40-yarder to open the scoring with 3:16 remaining in the first quarter. The Titans added to their lead when Smith was flagged for intentional grounding in the end zone. Smith was initially ruled to have fumbled the ball while being dragged down by defensive tackle Jurrell Casey, with center Nick Mangold making the recovery at the New York 6-yard line. Tennessee challenged the play and it was reversed by a review. Later in the game, Casey hit Smith in the helmet during a TV timeout, setting off a melee. Leon Washington muffed the free kick and T.J. Graham recovered the ball for the Jets at the Tennessee 40-yard line. New York came away with no points off the turnover as Nick Folk hit the crossbar on a 53-yard field goal attempt. Folk did make a 51-yard try with 2:08 remaining in the second quarter. After Succop made a 33-yarder, Smith hooked up with Eric Decker for what appeared to be an 81-yard touchdown on the first play of the ensuing possession. A brawl broke out between the teams during the review. Players were jawing at one another and Casey punched Smith. I love the courage, but in close games like that we got to be smart, Walker said. The touchdown wound up being wiped out because Decker stepped out of bounds at the Tennessee 33-yard line. Casey was hit with an unnecessary roughness penalty, moving the ball to the 18. The Jets grabbed a 10-8 lead when Smith found John Conner on 4th-and-1 for a 9-yard touchdown. Game Notes This marked the third consecutive season in which the teams met at LP Field ... Decker had 100 yards on seven receptions ... The Jets were 2-for-13 on third down ... The Titans outgained the Jets 342-277. Randy Coffield Jersey Retro . It may only be September, but the prospects are already on the road to the 2014 NHL Draft. Air Max 270 React Doré . Watching them over the past year - and in some cases, two years - has given us a starting point for this seasons Craigs List. This year begins with Sam Reinhart and Aaron Ekblad in the top two spots, followed by William Nylander, the son of former NHL player, Michael Nylander. A debate will surely ensue about a forward versus a defenseman being selected first overall and it is one that is a worthy one, once again because the players are so good. We begin with 30 players, even though the 2014 draft will see only 29 players selected in the first round given the fact that the New Jersey Devils must forfeit their first round pick because of the Ilya Kovalchuk contract situation. These are the players I feel most comfortable with at this point in time. There are some players I have not seen - and I will not rank players that I havent seen or do not have a comfort level because of too few viewings. The beginning of the season will allow me to see those players and with the second Craigs List in October, it will be an expanded seventy-five player list. Let the journey begin! Air Max 270 React Noir Bleu .com) - Wimbledon runner-up Eugenie Bouchard notched a win, while second-seeded two-time champion Ana Ivanovic, third- seeded Australian Open runner-up Dominika Cibulkova and fifth seed Sabine Lisicki all exited the draw at the Generali Ladies Linz tennis event. Arsenal had already scored its goals in the third round fixture when the fierce rivalry turned ugly in the final ten minutes as Walcott was being carried off on a stretcher. PHILADELPHIA -- Wayne Simmonds scored three goals and Steve Mason stopped 34 shots to lead the Philadelphia Flyers to a 5-2 win over the New York Rangers on Tuesday night, forcing a decisive Game 7 of their Eastern Conference playoff series. Theres little time for rest, too. The Flyers and Rangers play again Wednesday night at Madison Square Garden. Simmonds scored in the first period and twice more in the second for his first career post-season hat trick. Mason survived a busy first period and stopping 31 straight shots until Carl Hagelin scored late in the third. Mats Zuccarello also scored for New York in the final minute. By the third, Simmonds had already helped stake the Flyers to a 4-0 lead and the outcome was a mere formality. Erik Gustafsson also scored and Claude Giroux had an empty-netter for the Flyers, who will try for a second win in New York this series. Simmonds, a 28-goal scorer who had one in the first five games, completed the hat trick with 4:41 left in the second. With a short turnaround, Rangers goaltender Henrik Lundqvist was yanked for Cam Talbot to open the third period. Lundqvist stopped 19 of 23 shots. He couldnt stop Simmonds. Simmonds camped out in the dirty area, in front of the crease, and pounded home three short goals that had Flyers fans going wild. On the brink of elimination, about the only thing that could slow down the Flyers were their fans -- the game was delayed for a lengthy cleanup after they littered the ice with hats. Someone even threw a shoe. Outplayed for most of the series, the Flyers were lucky to escape the first period with a 1-0 lead. They were careless with the puck in their own zone and had nine turnovers, which led to a ton of work for Mason, who made 13 saves in the period. Simmonds put Philadelphia in front with his third hack at a rebound on a power play. Across the street, the rain-delayed Philaadelphia Phillies rang the home run Liberty Bell in celebration of the goal. Air Max 270 React Bleu Pas Cher. Simmonds, a 6-foot-2, 183-pound forward, was just warming up. Brayden Schenn stripped New Yorks Dan Girardi of the puck, and then lost control in front of the crease. Simmonds was perfectly positioned off to Lundqvists right side and pounded in the trickling puck for a 2-0 lead just 1:32 into the second. Simmonds again was just outside the crease to knock in his third goal late in the second for the 4-0 lead. After a sloppy first, the puck just seemed to bounce Philadelphias way. Gustafsson, who did not play the first five games, came storming out of the penalty box in the second period, his stick hit the puck in a flash and he scored for a 3-0 lead. "It was a lot of fun when I saw the puck come down to me," he said. "I think it took a fortunate bounce. I almost thought Lundqvist was going to get it, but luckily the puck went in." Mason, who had never won a post-season game until this season, was hardly challenged in the last two periods as he chased the shutout. He snared Benoit Pouliots point-blank shot in the second period and made an out-of-nowhere kick save against John Moore in the third to keep the comfortable lead. The Rangers had scored four goals in three other games this series. New York is 13-2 in series it has led 3-2, but the Rangers have lost 12 straight games in which they had a series lead. Marcus Paulsson and Peter Guggisberg also scored for Davos, while Mika Noronen made 24 saves. Darren Haydar and Byron Ritchie had Canadas goals. Allen York stopped 20 of 23 shots. It looked like it was going to be a relatively easy win for Davos when Ambuhls goal gave the hosts a 3-1 lead with less than three minutes to go in regulation. But Canada kept up the pressure, and Ritchie made it a one-goal game with less than two minutes to go. Canada pressed for the tying goal but was unable to beat Noronen. Ritchie had a chance at the tying goal with just over a minute left, but he was unable to contain the puck with an open net to shoot at. "Davos is a speedy team. Theyve got all kinds of skill level," Shedden said. "Youre not going to beat them in their rink unless you play 60 minutes and we were a little disappointed in our first half of the game. "We were playing the neutral zone game a bit too much maybe because they are so fast and we were trying to respect their speed, then in the third period we said lets go for it and put the pressure on them and it seemed to pay dividends for us. But a little bit too late." After a scoreless period, Davos used their speed to assert themselves with two goals in the second. Paulsson opened the scoring at 7:19 of the second period, then Guggisberg put Davos up 2-0 at 11:43. Canada made a game of it, with Haydar narrowing the lead to 2-1 4:45 into the third. But after Ambuhl restored Davoss two-goal lead at 17:01, Canada was unable to bridge the gap. Shedden expects a different challenge Sunday from the Americans, who are the Buffalo Sabres American Hockey League affiliate. "Its going to be a more North American style of game," Shedden said. "Youre going to see a lot more of a physical game tomorrow night. Obviously we have a much older team and theyre young up-and-coming stars in the NHL. "I mean, I dont think well play 9-22 every 31 games," Arroyo said after he and two relievers combined to hold the punchless San Diego Padres to three hits in a 2-0 victory Friday night in a matchup of the bottom two teams in the NL West. Aaron Hill provided Arroyo with all the backing he needed with a two-run single off Andrew Cashner in the third inning. "We put ourselves in a huge hole, especially in this division with two teams that are pretty potent, so its going to be a long season no matter how you cut it because were going to fighting uphill the whole way," Arroyo said. "Who knows where its going to end up." The Diamondbacks finally hit double digits in wins, but still have the worst record in the majors -- 10-22. They came in with the worst ERA, 5.20. The Padres came with a .217 batting average, worst in the NL and second-worst in the majors. It was the first shutout for the Diamondbacks. The Padres were shut out for the fifth time, tying them with Atlanta for the big league lead. But the 37-year-old Arroyo, in his 15th big league season, was sharp. Arroyo (2-2) allowed three singles in seven innings, struck out six and walked one. He is 4-0 with a 1.54 ERA in his last five starts against San Diego. He didnt allow a hit until Yonder Alonso singled to right with one out in the fifth. Until then, the only baserunner was leadoff batter Everth Cabrera, who reached in the first when Arroyo couldnt handle a chopper for an error. Arroyo then proceeded to get 13 straight outs, including when Seth Smith grounded into an inning-ending double play in the first. "They ran a lot of lefties at me as usual and I got the chance to take advantage of their aggressiveness in the outer half," Arroyo said. "They hit a lot of ground balls to second base. I had a little more zip tonight. I felt a little bit better. It makes a difference for me when I can get the ball up there 88, 89. Once in a while, makee them respect some of my other stuff a bit more. Laken Tomlinson Super Bowl Jersey. " Padres starter Andrew Cashner had a bad third inning. He loaded the bases on a single and two walks, and then allowed Hills two-run single to left with two outs. "It was nice to have a smooth one from front to back," Arroyo said. "Get a couple of runs off a tough pitcher and be able to hold the lead was definitely the way you want to start a road trip." Arizonas Kirk Gibson, who won his 300th game as manager, said Arroyo "has been trending toward throwing the ball better and better, and it was the best stuff hes had all year tonight. We saw it from all arm slots; keeping the ball down when he wanted the ball down. I think he hit 90 mph one time." Padres manager Bud Black said Arroyo "has been doing it for a long time. He got back to the form that made him tough." San Diegos Alexi Amarista reached third with two outs in the fifth before being stranded when rookie Jace Peterson grounded out. The Padres had runners on the corners with two outs in the seventh before Peterson again grounded out. Addison Reed pitched the ninth for his seventh save in eight chances. Cashner (2-4) allowed two runs and four hits in six innings, struck out one and walked three. "I didnt think I did a very good job of a lot of stuff," Cashner said. "But I felt like I kept the team in the game, gave us a chance to win. The spot with the bases loaded, I cant hang a slider." NOTES: Arizonas Ender Inciarte, recalled from Triple-A on Wednesday, singled to left in the ninth for his first big league hit. He made his first start, in CF. ... Padres LF Carlos Quentin, who started the season on the disabled list with a bone bruise in his left knee, is scheduled to begin a rehab assignment Saturday for Class AA Lake Elsinore at Inland Empire. It will be his first competition since 2012. ' ' '

Still, its a start. Josh Baileys goal with 1:40 left capped a furious third-period rally, and the Islanders edged the Penguins 4-3 on Friday night.CLEVELAND -- Sporting sunglasses, a teal shirt and a backpack hanging from his shoulder, Tampa Bay manager Joe Maddon looked like a tourist as he arrived late for his news conference. Yeezy 350 v2 Non Reflective Pas Cher . Maddon didnt have time to slip into his uniform and had a valid excuse. The Rays have been on the road. In the past week, theyve gone from Tampa to New York to Toronto to Texas to Cleveland, a journey covering 3,627 miles. On Wednesday night, the Rays hope to book a trip to Boston. Getting a complete game from starter David Price, Tampa Bay beat Texas 5-2 in a tiebreaker on Monday night, earning the Rays a wild-card spot for the third time in four years and a chance to face the Indians, making their first appearance in October since 2007. Forced to win almost every day down the stretch as they went neck-and-neck-and-neck with the Indians and Rangers in a thrilling wild-card scramble in the final weeks of September, the Rays won in Toronto on Sunday before travelling deep in the heart of Texas and surviving a win-or-go-home scenario. "Ill tell you what," said Maddon, whose team went 14-5 after Sept. 12. "Weve already played this wild-card game a couple times. We did it in Toronto a couple days ago. We did it yesterday in Texas, and were going to come here tomorrow and do it again. I dont know if theres a battle-tested component to that, if you get immune to whatever that pressure is and you go play." Wednesdays winner will meet the Red Sox in Game 1 of the division series on Friday. The Rays always believed theyd be in position to make a run at a first World Series title. And although theyve racked up some frequent-flyer miles and lived out of their suitcases to keep their season alive, theyre confident their season isnt about to end. "When you get into this momentum kind of a thing on a daily basis and youre playing great competition and youre going from city to city to city and its an adverse territory, all of this stuff is what you train for and you really dig and you love it," Maddon said. "You dont have time to get nervous or overthink, youve just got to get ready and go play -- and for our guys, they kind of like that moment right now." Like the Rays, the Indians had to scrap their way into the post-season. Cleveland ended a topsy-turvy regular season under manager Terry Francona by ripping off 10 wins in a row, playing error-free ball during the stretch. Now, when every mistake is magnified and theres no room for lapses, the Indians want to keep rolling and will start rookie Danny Salazar in their biggest game in six seasons. "This team wasnt expected to do anything," said right fielder Nick Swisher, one of the tteams high-profile free-agent signings. Off White Yeezy 350 V2 Pas Cher. "Just to be where we are right now is awesome, man." Tampa won four of the six games against Cleveland this season, but the teams havent met since early June. Rays starter Alex Cobb (11-3) was asked what he learned about the Indians in his one start against them on April 6. "That was so long ago, I dont know if that really applies anymore," he said. "Plus," Maddon said, interrupting his young right-hander. "That was before you got hit in the head." Fortunately, the Rays can now make light of the scary situation involving Cobb, who was struck in the head by a line drive hit by Kansas Citys Eric Hosmer on June 15. Cobb missed 50 games with a concussion, but hes been a different pitcher since the injury, going 5-1 with a 2.41 ERA in nine starts. Cobb said two months of rest may have helped, but he was also driven to pitch in the post-season after missing out in 2011 when he underwent surgery to remove a blood clot in his ribs. "Watching the post-season and just the feeling of being left out is indescribable," he said. "Its a terrible feeling that you dont want to have again, so I think it was extra motivation to get back and it definitely fueled the fire even more to get back to the post-season and know that we have a special group that can go far." The Indians feel just as strongly about making this an unforgettable season, perhaps even ending Clevelands 65-year drought between World Series titles. Francona has no hesitation in handing the ball to Salazar (2-3), an unflappable 23-year-old who began the season at Double-A Akron but zoomed to the majors and carried a no-hitter into the sixth inning of his debut. The Rays have never faced him. "Believe me, we wouldnt pitch him if we werent confident in him giving us the best chance to win," Francona said. "Danny has done nothing to make us think he cant handle this. Hes so poised. If I had stuff like him, Id be poised, too. But theres a difference between throwing 100 mph and being able to get major league hitters out. Danny can do that." NOTES: Indians CF and leadoff hitter Michael Bourn did some agility drills and ran the bases before working out with his teammates. He pulled up with a leg injury on Sunday in Minnesota, and his status for Wednesday is not yet known. ... The teams have to have their 25-man rosters set by 10 a.m. Wednesday. .... Francona followed up on his joke about the Indians avoiding chicken and beer during his September surge, a jab at his final days in Boston. "I lied about that," he said. "We have had some chicken." MEMPHIS, Tenn. Cheap Yeezy Shoes 2020 . - The Memphis Grizzlies know how to grind out a win, even on a rare night when they struggle on the glass.Marc Gasol scored 26 points, Zach Randolph had 19 points and 13 rebounds, and the Grizzlies beat the Toronto Raptors 92-86 on Wednesday. It wasnt the prettiest game, said Memphis guard Mike Conley, who finished with 12 points. It was a tough game for us. Nothing came easy. The ball didnt bounce our way very often, but we found a way.The Grizzlies broke open a close game with a 13-3 run midway through the fourth quarter. The shots will fall.Memphis scored the first eight points of the fourth quarter for a 68-61 lead with 10 minutes left. But Lowrys six straight points near the midway point of the period got Toronto within one.The Grizzlies then scored 13 of the next 16 points to put it away. Donovan was still stunned and confused by Klinsmanns decision when he went back to work with the LA Galaxy on Saturday. "Im disappointed. Im sad," Donovan said Saturday after the Galaxys practice. "Im human, and I wanted to go. I really wanted to go. Im at peace with it. I respect the decision. I just feel in my heart that I deserve to be there, and thats the pill thats hardest to swallow." The 32-year-old attacker was denied the chance to play in his fourth World Cup after Klinsmann chose U.S. team newcomer Aron Johannsson and 31-year-old Chris Wondolowski over the most accomplished international player in American history. The decision surprised Donovan, who believed a strong performance in training camp had secured his spot on the 23-man roster. But Donovan declined to speculate on additional possible factors in the decision: his recent soccer sabbatical, the coachs decision to evaluate a versatile player solely as a forward, or the impact of the Americans difficult group draw on their long-term planning. "I think if Im being judged solely on what happens in camp, then I absolutely deserved to be going to Brazil," Donovan said. "I firmly believe that not only should I be going, but I feel like I really deserved it, and not from anything that I did in the past, but from what Ive done in the last week and a half." Donovan gave little insight into whatever reasons Klinsmann shared with him at the Bay Area training camp. Klinsmann provided only murky details about his decision Friday, saying other players were "a little step ahead of Landon in certain areas." "I dont agree with that assessment," Donovan said. "I think I was at least as good as everybody else in camp. ... I think I was one of the better players, so thats why it stingss a little. Yeezy Boost 350 V2 Cloud White Cheap. . If I had gone in and didnt feel like I deserved it, I could live with that. But thats not the case here." Donovan had nothing to say about any underlying implications of the mocking tweet by Jonathan Klinsmann, the coachs teenage son, moments after the announcement. "I dont really know his son well, so Im not really sure where that came from," Donovan said. Donovan also doesnt think his four-month sabbatical from soccer in 2013 after the Galaxys second straight MLS Cup title should have worked against him. "I actually think Ive been a much better player since I came back," he said. Donovan is the career U.S. leader with 57 international goals, and is second with 156 appearances. He has scored five World Cup goals, including a stoppage-time goal against Algeria to send the Americans to the second round four years ago. Instead of jetting off to Brazil, the five-time MLS Cup champion will resume his pursuit of the top U.S. leagues career goal-scoring record in Sundays home game against Philadelphia. Donovan tied Jeff Cunninghams mark with his 134th goal late last season, but hasnt scored in seven matches with the Galaxy this year. "Im excited to be back here," Donovan said. "I certainly didnt want to be back here under these circumstances or this soon, but I love these guys. These are my teammates, and this is my home. I will not let this affect me going forward." Donovan said he would gladly return to the U.S. team from the standby list if an injury created a spot on the roster, and he wouldnt rule out playing for the U.S. team in the future. He urged fans to support Klinsmanns current squad because "I dont want there to be a negative tint to any of this." "Ive always loved representing this country, so I cant imagine that if Im given another opportunity that I would say no," Donovan added. "But at this point, Im just trying to deal with the disappointment." ' ' '

SACRAMENTO, Calif. Nike Cortez Mens Sale . -- The Golden State Warriors have made another move in hopes of finding a reliable backup to point guard Stephen Curry. The Warriors acquired Steve Blake from the Los Angeles Lakers for reserve guards Kent Bazemore and MarShon Brooks on Wednesday night, adding a veteran ball-handler to their beleaguered bench. Word of the deal started to spread just before the Warriors played in Sacramento and the Lakers hosted Houston, with the three players involved saying goodbye to teammates and coaches in the locker room. Both teams confirmed the trade before halftime of their games. "We think this just bolsters the bench and gives us some more options, some more weapons and a player when you give him the ball you know you can trust him," Warriors general manager Bob Myers said during intermission in Sacramento. "We just think it was a chance to improve our roster and that was our justification." The trade gives Golden State a savvy veteran off the bench without sacrificing any of its core players or moving into the leagues luxury tax. The Warriors used a $4 million trade exception they got in the deal with Denver that landed free agent Andre Iguodala last summer. The team is about $400,000 under the luxury tax, Myers said. The Warriors were hoping Blake would be uniform when they host Houston on Thursday night in Oakland. Blake, who is making $4 million in the final year of his contract, averaged 9.5 points and 7.6 assists while starting all 27 games he played for the injury-depleted Lakers this season. The Warriors are counting on the 33-year-old veteran to improve a bench that has been searching for a solid ball-handler since Jarrett Jack left for Cleveland in free agency last summer. The Warriors acquired Jordan Crawford and Brooks from Boston in a three-team trade on Jan. 15. Golden State sent struggling backup Toney Douglas to Miami in that deal. Crawford has been, at times, a prolific scorer but is still learning how to be a better distributor and playmaker on a Warriors team that has plenty of shooters. He entered Wednesday averaging 6.3 points and 2.2 assists in his first 13 games with the Warriors after starting for the Celtics while Rajon Rondo was injured. "We like our core, and I think our core likes each other. I think its a core that can win," Myers said. "And our bench, for whatever reason, struggled early on. Anything we could do to fortify it, we tried to do without removing what we consider our core." The Lakers received some salary cap relief and a pair of young and unproven players in the deal. Brooks appeared in just seven games with the Warriors and never caught on in Mark Jacksons rotation. Bazemore, best known for his animated cheering on Golden States bench, also struggled in limited action the past two seasons. Both had split time with the teams NBA Development League affiliate, the Santa Cruz Warriors, but should get more of an opportunity with the rebuilding Lakers. PHILADELPHIA -- That high-octane, ball-control offence belonged to the San Diego Chargers. Yeezy 350 v2 Static Pas Cher . Philip Rivers threw three touchdown passes to Eddie Royal, and Nick Novak kicked a 46-yard field goal with 7 seconds left to lead the Chargers past the Philadelphia Eagles 33-30 on Sunday, spoiling Chip Kellys home debut. On Phillys turf, the Chargers (1-1) looked more like the Eagles ideal offence. They racked up 539 yards, held the ball for 40:17 and sped things up. "We kind of no-huddled the no-huddlers," Rivers said. "We had our own rhythm of no-huddle going. It was a heck of a team win." Michael Vick threw for a career-best 428 yards and two touchdowns and ran for a score. But a porous Eagles defence couldnt stop Rivers all day. He finished 36 of 47 for 419 yards, and the Chargers punted only once. They fumbled twice inside Philadelphias 10 in the first half. The teams combined for 1,150 total yards. The Chargers got good news after the game when they learned receiver Malcom Floyd was fine after leaving on a stretcher with a neck injury on a hard hit by DeMeco Ryans and Nate Allen on the first play from scrimmage after halftime. "All the tests right now look good, so its great for the organization to go out and get a win for Malcom," coach Mike McCoy said. Following a dynamic 33-27 victory over Washington last Monday, the Eagles (1-1) needed more time to get their up-tempo offence going against San Diego. They crammed 53 plays into the first half against the Redskins, took a 26-point lead in the third quarter and held on to beat the defending NFC East champs. But it was the Chargers who moved the ball seemingly at will in the first half. Those two turnovers were costly, however, and the Eagles had a chance to win at the end. "It was big for our offence to just convert on third down, trying to keep their fast-paced offence off the field, knowing how explosive they were," Royal said. The Eagles had a first down at the Chargers 10 before Vick was shaken up on an incomplete pass. Nick Foles came in and threw another incompletion before Vick returned and misfired on a throw. Alex Henery kicked a tying 32-yard field goal that left Rivers plenty of time to answer. "It doesnt matter how we score as long as we score," Kelly said. "But I still think we left too many opportunities offensively out there." Rivers quickly led the Chargers down the field with less than two minutes left, and Novak nailed his fourth field goal to win it. "Last week, we didnt finish the game," McCoy said about blowing a 21-point lead in a 31-28 loss to Houston. "We made too many mistakes. Today, we finished." The Eagles took a 27-23 lead when Vick ran in from the 2, but the defence couldnt hold it. Henery allowed the ball to slip through his hands when Fozzy Whittaker fumbled on the kick return and the Chargers started at the Eagles 39. A few plays later, Rivers tossed a 15-yard TD pass to Royal for a 30-27 lead. DeSean Jackson had 193 yards receiving, including a 61-yard TD, for the Eagles. LeSean McCoy had a career-high 114 yards receiving. "We made our share of plays today and I think were going to get better," Vick said. Antonio Gates led the Chargers with 124 yards receiving, Floyd had 102 and Royal added 90. Rivers found Royal wide open on a third-and-10 for a 24-yard TD pass for a 20-10 lead, but the Eagles got a field goal then tied it when Vick hit Jackson in stride on a deep ball. Vick tossed a 13-yard TD pass to Riley Cooper to cut San Diegos lead to 13-10 in the second quarter. Then the Chargers wasted two excellent opportunities on consecutive drives. Brandon Boykin forced Gates to fumble after a catch, and Casey Matthews recovered at the Eagles 2. The Chargers were at the Eagles 8 on their next possession before Trent Cole forced Ryan Mathews to fumble and Mychal Kendricks recovered. Vick quickly moved the Eagles into field-goal range, but Henery missed a 46-yarder wide right at the end of the half. NOTES: Royal has five TDs on 10 catches in two games. ... Chargers rookie LB Manti Teo didnt play because of a sprained right foot that he injured in a preseason game Aug. 8. ... Eagles starting CB Bradley Fletcher was sidelined because of a concussion. "I could have been equipment manager but nooooo" from Lisa on Ice. Season 6, Episode 8.KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Even after a lengthy replay, Minnesota Twins manager Ron Gardenhire still thinks the call was wrong. No worry. When he was ejected for arguing the play in the third inning Tuesday night, it gave him a nice vantage point -- a flat-screen TV and a comfy chair in the clubhouse -- to see Kyle Gibson shut down the Kansas City Royals for seven innings in a tense 2-1 victory. The play in question was Chris Parmelees sinking liner to left field that Alex Gordon appeared to trap while sliding. The umpires ruled it a catch, though, likely saving a run. Gardenhire quickly challenged it, only to be incensed when a review of 3 minutes, 31 seconds let it stand. A nose-to-nose confrontation with plate umpire Ted Barrett resulted in him getting tossed. "Honestly, I know youre not supposed to go out there. I just wanted to find out how that happened," Gardenhire said. "Thats the part a lot of managers are trying to figure out, what did they see? I know they dont want it to go any longer, but its gone on long enough. "I was just looking for an explanation. He threw me out really quick. He was really hot." Gibson was hot in an entirely different way. He allowed a single by Alcides Escobar in the third inning and another by Nori Aoki in the sixth over seven dazzling innings. Gibson (9-8) was at his best his last inning, too, setting down the Royals in order in the seventh on four seemingly effortless pitches. "I had a great view for it," Gardenhire said with a smile. Casey Fien worked the eighth before Glen Perkins ran into trouble in the ninth, giving up a leadoff double to Omar Infante and an RBI single to Eric Hosmer. Perkins bounced back to get three straight pop outs and record his 26th save of the season. "The loss is frustrating in general. It doesnt matter how it is," the Royals Billy Butler said. "Its not fun to lose, especially in a 2-1 game like that. We should have put up more runs." Josh Willingham hit a saccrifice fly in the third inning and Brian Dozier provided a run-scoring single in the fifth off James Shields (9-6), who battled command all night. Yeezy 350 v2 Pas Cher. . ROAD WARRIORS: The Twins have won six of their last seven on the road dating to July 8, a good omen considering their upcoming schedule. What they learned over the last

While the Montreal Canadiens made an incredible run to the Eastern Conference Final in his second season as general manager, Marc Bergevin isnt ready to label his team as contenders just yet. Nike Air Max 1 2022 . Bergevin held court with the media in his end-of-season news conference on Monday, saying theres still plenty to do to make the Habs a championship-calibre club. "I thought our young players learned a lot," he said. "What they learned over the last 17 playoff games is something you cant buy. Were a good team with a young core, but were not a mature team yet. Im happy with our season, but theres still work to do. "Next year, we go back to the same starting line with everybody else. Our first goal will be to make the playoffs and, once youre in, anythings possible. Maybe one day down the road well be a mature team but were not there yet." The No. 1 question posed to Bergevin was the contract status of star defenceman P.K. Subban, who becomes a restricted free agent with arbitration rights on July 1. Subban, who signed a two-year bridge contract after the 2012-13 lockout, captured the Norris Trophy as the NHLs top blueliner last year, was named to the Canadian mens Olympic team that won gold in Sochi in February and was among their top players in the postseason. While many speculate that Subban could pull in an eight-year contract worth $8 million to $9 million a season, Bergevin wasnt showing his hand on anything regarding negotiations. "Contract talks are strategic," he explained, reminding reporters that his policy is to never divulge contract updates in public. "I cant give you a timeline on when itll get done." Bergevin, did however, mention he would like to retain pending UFA Brian Gionta, whos been captain for the last four seasons. "Well see what we can do to bring him back," he said, adding that others have stepped up as leaders as well. "(Josh) Gorges is a really good leader. Carey, P.K., and Patch are taking that role. We have a lot of young leaders who will help moving forward. A guy like Plekanec might not be a player who talks a lot, but by his play and the way he competes, hes a leader." Bergevin also said that head coach Michel Therrien, who has a year left on his contract, will be back - likely with an extension. Therrien raised plenty of eyebrows using third-string goalie Dustin Tokarski over backup Peter Budaj in the conference final after starting netminder Carey Price was injured. There will be plenty of speculation about what the team may do with both goaltenders this summer. "I know him personally," Bergevin said of Budaj. "Hes a great man, loved by his teammates. And through this whole thing he was very positive. Michel had a hunch to put (Tokarski) in for the second game and he gave us a chance to win. Internally well discuss it, but its a nice problem to have." The Canadiens GM was also satisfied this season with the development of young blueliners Nathan Beaulieu, Jarred Tinordi and Greg Pateryn, the first two playing short stints with the NHL club. "I think the day they become everyday players with the Canadiens will be sooner rather than later," he said. "Do I want them to play in NHL next season - yes. "I want some internal competition at camp (next season)." Bergevin also defended the much-criticized handling of the concussion suffered by forward Dale Weise in Game 5 of the conference final. Weise was wobbly and went to the dressing room after a blindside hit by New Yorks John Moore, but returned later in the game. Weise did not play in Game 6 due to what Therrien would only call a "body injury." It appeared the team let Weise back out on the ice even if it looked obvious he had his brain rattled by the hit. Bergevin said the team didnt find out until the next day that Weise had a concussion and was satisfied that he was properly examined according to the league rules before being allowed to return. "The NHL has a protocol that needs to be followed," he said. "If the player says hes OK and the test says hes OK, then hes OK. Players have a list of things they need to do before they can return to play and he passed with flying colours. "Its flawed, but Im not a doctor. We all worry about our players, but we can only go by what were given." - with CP files Nike Air Max 1 2020 . Two days after releasing Peyton Manning, the longtime face of the franchise, the Colts announced they were cutting four fan favourites: running back Joseph Addai, linebacker Gary Brackett, safety Melvin Bullitt and tight end Dallas Clark.NEW YORK, N.Y. - Rob Manfred knows hell get pounded now that hes baseball commissioner — his name is printed in blue script on the sweet spot between the seams of every big league ball.Probably good if I get hit hard, he said, smiling and laughing, during an interview with The Associated Press. A little more offence. We dont have to deal with that issue.Manfreds desk on the 31st floor of baseballs Park Avenue offices was tidy on Monday morning, the first business day after he succeeded Bud Selig and started a five-year term as commissioner. Having worked for MLB since 1998 as an executive vice-president and then as chief operating officer, he didnt have to move into a new office. The issues are piled up, perhaps not physically, but the to-do list is lengthy: Oakland and Tampa Bay want new ballparks; negotiations are ongoing with players over pace of play and domestic violence; Baltimore and Washington are fighting in court over broadcast revenue; there is widespread agreement initiatives must be undertaken to develop young fans and players.A pitch clock must be considered and decreased offence scrutinized along with increased defensive shifts.Tighter balls? Shorter fences? A lower mound? Banning defensive shifts?Perhaps they can be talked about in the future.I do think its important for the game to continue to modernize, he said. That modernization has to proceed at a pace that allows us to be very respectful of the traditions of the game and keeps us from making a hasty error, as they say.He opened his regime Sunday by releasing an open letter to fans, promising development in urban areas and increased emphasis on partnering with high school, college and amateur ball.He left his home early on a snowy Monday and took the commuter train from Tarrytown to Grand Central Terminal, as he has most days since he was hired by MLB after 11 years as an outside counsel with Morgan, Lewis & Bockius.Born Sept. 28, 1958, Manfred grew up in Rome, New York, and is thought to be the first commissioner to have played Little League Baseball. He started when he was seven and quit when he was 12 or 13 because it conflicted with tennis. It was a painful and not-particularly successful experience, he said. I played some shortstop, some second base.He attended his first big league game on Aug. 10, 1968, sitting in the lower deck between home plate and first base at Yankee Stadium for New Yorks 3-2 loss to Minnesota. Mickey Mantle went deep twice in his last multihomer game.It was a big trip for us as a family, Manfred said.He wears conservative suits and has a gap-toothed smile and a receding hairline, looking every bit the corporate lawyer he was. His Cornell undergraduate and Harvard Law School diplomas are on the wall behind his desk, to the side of his computer. A flat-screen television on another wall broadcasts sports news. The contrast between the 56-year-old Manfred and the 80-year-old Selig is clear. The longtime Brewers owner ruled baseball from Milwaukee with grandfatherly charm. Selig claims to have never sent an email during his 22-plus years in charge.Bud I and are actually very different, Manfred said. Buds not much of a technology guy. I am the original plugged-in technology guy. Bud is an expert at the politics of managing owners. He does it with an art of persuasion. I think I can effectively manage the owners as well, but my style will be more based on information, rational persuasion, argument, than just politics.Labor strife remains the biggest danger. Following five strikes and three lockouts from 1972-95, baseball negotiated three strraight deals without a stoppage and is ensured labour peace through the 2016 season. Nike Air Max 1 Store. A labour disruption would be a real setback for this game, Manfred said. I think that weve taught people to expect that we can solve our problems or issues with the players in a constructive way without disrupting the play of the game on the field, and I think a failure to be able to do that would be a step backwards for us, obviously. The ever-increasing speed of high-tech innovation is the No. 2 issue. Regional sports networks and national broadcasting contracts have helped pushed baseballs revenue to nearly $9 billion last year, a more than fivefold increase under Seligs reign.Obviously, the cable model has served us well, Manfred explained. We hope it lasts a very long time. But its something you have to be concerned about. One change could be a 20-second pitch clock. While Selig ruled it out for the big leagues this year, it will be experimented with at Double-A and Triple-A.Manfred said MLB executive Joe Torre and Atlanta Braves president John Schuerholz both approved after watching an experiment in the Arizona Fall League.Im a fan of the pitch clock, he said. I think the best endorsement of it is that some of the people involved in the game that you would regard to be on the more traditional spectrum were converts. He also wants stricter interpretation of the rule-book strike zone, a process that began with computer evaluation of umpires ball-strike calls starting in 2001.A lack of strike zone uniformity is kind of like dandelions, Manfred said. If you dont pay attention, it comes back. The big league batting average dropped to .251 last year, its lowest level since 1972. Manfred told ESPN in an interview released Sunday that he was open to banning defensive shifts.I said somewhere down the road its something Id be prepared to have a conversation about. Nothing more, he said Monday,Still, MLB forwarded the players union a list of radical ideas, Fox reported Monday, such as tinkering with the ball, mound, fences and strike zone, and extending the DH to the NL. Manfred also says he doesnt see a DH change happening, but the height of the mound could be open to debate. It was cut from 15 inches to 10 after the 1968 season.I dont see that as a revolutionary idea, he said.He does want to push ahead with international play, saying Id like to play on a more sustained basis outside the United States if thats possible. But games in Asia and Europe are difficult because of travel. The Western Hemisphere is probably more realistic in that regard, he said. And baseball is monitoring the U.S. governments opening to Cuba. Its a great source of talent, and whenever you have a talent source, our people are very interested, he said. Obviously the president has announced an important policy change. What that means at the nuts-and-bolts level that we operate, were just not sure yet.On his first day at the office, New York prepared for a blizzard. Not exactly baseball weather.Manfred beamed when discussing his plans. And when talking about the new baseballs with his name on them.He sent the first one that arrived to his father. It really is a very interesting and exciting, tangible evidence that you are in fact the commissioner of baseball, Manfred said.Howard Smith, MLBs senior vice-president of licensing, made him sign Robert D. Manfred Jr. over and over and over with different pencils and pens. More than a million balls will be manufactured this year.I actually can write if I take the time to do it, Manfred said proudly. It turned out OK. ' ' '

I think the hardest one would be thatDETROIT - Shortly before 9 a. Ben Garland Jersey .m. on the day after the worst night of his life, Rikk Wilde got the phone call from his big boss at General Motors.Yes, he committed a nationally televised, major-league blooper while presenting pickup truck keys to the World Series MVP. No, he wouldnt be fired. Now get out there and sell some trucks. The call, from Chevrolet Vice-President Brian Sweeney, had to be a relief for Wilde, who makes his living as a zone manager and liaison between GM and its Kansas City-area dealers. The Chevy leadership team called and told him he did nothing wrong. Its all good. Everyone here has his back, said Michael Albano, the brands top spokesman.GM had lined up Wilde, a lifelong Royals fan, for the postgame presentation because hes a good employee and loves baseball. There was hope that hed be giving the keys to a Chevrolet Colorado to someone on the home team. But instead it went to San Francisco Giants ace Madison Bumgarner, who saved Game 7 by shutting out the Royals for five innings.Wilde had practiced for the moment, an effort to draw attention to GMs newest product, and brought notes just in case he forgot something. He did. When Fox Sports announcer Erin Andrews introduced him, he was sweating. As he started to say his lines, he became breathless. He stumbled and had to look to his notes. He ad-libbed a line that would bring guffaws on social media: It combines class-winning and leading, you know, technology and stuff, with Wi-Fi powered by OnStar.#Technologyandstuff was trending on Twitter, as was #ChevyGuy, with many comparing Wilde to the late comedian Chris Farley.ChevyGuy is the most hilariously awkward person ever, one person tweeted.Chevy really sold me on their new Colorados with that class leading technology and stuff and immediate recalls!!!, another tweeted, an obvious reference to GMs safety problems. But around 1:30 a.m. EDT, Albano said he noticed the sentiment starting to shift. We LOVE the #Chevyguy! Dont change a bit #Wildeman!, wrote one tweeter. We saw quickly the technologyandstuff tagline kind of take off and start to trend, Albano said. Thats when you realize that you have something there that you might want to embrace.GM got a bigger chance to promote its re-entry into the small to midsize pickup truck business because Wilde drew so much attention to the usually forgotten MVP presentation.Chevy even used the #technologyandstuff in a tweet from a corporate account, linking to an ad.He was on message, Albano said. COLUMBUS, Ohio - John Davidson has travelled the world playing, talking about and scouting professional hockey. Air Force 1 Alte Hand Wash Cold .He says his current outpost is a great place that few know about.Columbus, to me, in some ways, is a very well-kept secret, said Davidson, the director of hockey operations for the NHLs Blue Jackets. That might change this weekend. The city and the Blue Jackets have a busy, busy few days in the spotlight.Ohios capital city will be the venue for this weekends NHL All-Star game, including the player draft on Friday night, a skills competition on Saturday and the game itself on Sunday at downtowns Nationwide Arena. There are many other related events, drawing thousands of visitors and television viewers.Meanwhile Ohio State, with its sprawling campus just a couple of miles from downtown, will celebrate its national championship in college football at massive Ohio Stadium on Saturday morning. Coach Urban Meyer and his players will speak to whats expected to be a huge crowd while accepting trophies for their 14-1 run to the title.Gene Smith, the athletic director at Ohio State, considers it an embarrassment of riches. When you think about our city and all the great things that have happened here over the years, this is probably one of those exemplar moments, he said. The NHL All-Star game and weekend activities, just by itself, is phenomenal. But then to be able to showcase the national championship, all the media attention for both of those events for our city, its going to be unreal.By Thursday morning, a sledding hill had been built on two lanes of the brick thoroughfare next to the hockey arena downtown, topped by tons of snow that had been trucked in. There was a line of dozens of kids waiting to slide and glide down the bumpy slope.Nearby, just behind an old stone arch that is one of the citys symbols, a large ice rink sits outside. There are free skates for the general public and the occasional hockey game. The skaters can warm up with coffee and hot chocolate at one of the nearby heated tents.Months of planning has gone into the All-Star festivities. Columbus was originally picked in January 2012 to host the event the following year. But managements lockout of the players disrupted that plan. NHL Commissioner Gary Bettman, however, made good on a promise to have Columbus host the game as soon as possible, awarding the city this years event.Columbus is also one of the finalists to host the 2016 Democratic National Convention.Mayor Michael B. Coleman looks at all thats going on this weekend and sees it as a trial run. This is one of the best opportunities to showcase our city to an international audience, Coleman said. They can see how Columbus pulls off big events, and they can get a better idea of who we are as a city.Of course, not much wiggle room was permitted for the plans for Ohio States national championship celebration. The title wasnt decided until Jan. 12 in Arlington, Texas, when the Buckeyes beat Oregon, 42-20.Even though the football teams big day will be held outside in temperatures in the 30s, it wouldnt be a major surprise if Buckeye fans flooded the place. After all, more than 90,000 once showed up for a spring practice game at Ohio Stadium.Smith says Ohio State officials have been working with those from the Blue Jackets. During the national championship celebration, some of the events associated with the All-Star game will be mentioned on the video monitors.Cabs, hotel rooms and seats in restaurants and bars will come at a premium on such a busy sports weekend. The Blue Jackets and the Buckeyes are happy to share top billing. The more the merrier, Davidson said, laughing.___Follow Rusty Miller on Twitter: http://www.twitter.com/RustyMillerAP Air Force 1 Alte Summaeverythang . -- Max Domi scored twice and set up two more as the London Knights toppled the visiting Kingston Frontenacs 6-4 on Sunday in Ontario Hockey League action. CLEVELAND -- Interim general manager David Griffin said before the Cavaliers game Sunday night that hed like to see a few more smiles from his team. Dante Pettis Super Bowl Jersey . Following Clevelands 91-83 overtime win over Memphis, there were happy faces all around the locker room. "The game is fun," said Kyrie Irving, who scored 28 points as Cavaliers won back-to-back games for the first time in a month. "Being out there, just competing at the highest level. At the end of the day, its just a game." The Cavaliers, who broke a six-game losing streak Friday night against Washington, have won both games since general manager Chris Grant was fired last week. Irving scored the final four points in regulation to tie it. Luol Dengs 3-pointer on the first possession of overtime put Cleveland ahead for good, 81-78. While a two-game winning streak wont remedy all the teams problems in an adversity-filled season, the Cavaliers want to seize on any positive momentum they can find. "Everybody was putting too much pressure on themselves," Irving said. "We needed to go out there and play basketball. Going out there the last two games, whether the game gets tight or gets away from you, it should be fun." Nick Calathes scored 17 points to lead Memphis, which has lost three of four since winning six straight. Deng began the overtime scoring with a 3-pointer from the corner as the shot clock was winding down. Baskets by Dion Waiters and Anderson Varejao, sandwiched around a 3-pointer by Calathes, left Cleveland with an 85-81 lead. A resounding dunk by Waiters and four free throws by Irving put the game away. "They had the two best players on the floor in Dion Waiters and Kyrie Irving," Grizzlies coach David Joerger said. "They really took the game over from start to finish." Joerger blamed the Grizzlies poor first half, in which they fell behind by 14 points, for the loss. "We slogged in the mud at the start tonight, which you cant do on the road," he said. James Johnson scored 13 points in the fourth quarter to help Memphis erase a nine-point deficit. Cleveland led 74-65 but was held scoreless for 4:54 as the Grizzlies took a 78-74 lead. Irving tied it with a layup with 18 seconds remaining and was fouled, but missed the free throw, giving Memphis the ball with 16.7 seconds left. Zach Randolph lost the ball while driving the lane and Waiters heave from just inside halfcourt hit off the backboard. Griffin met with the players at Sunday morning at the shootaround while owner Dan Gilbert spoke with them prior to the game. "I think it woke up a lot of people," Waiters said of Grants dismissal. "Me, I felt half of that was my fault, how we played. We just didnt come out right as a unit. I think it cost the man his job. If we had been playing the way we have the last two games hed probably still be here. We cant dwell on the past, weve got to continue to play the way weve been playing and keep it up." Waiters scored 18 points, and C.J. Miles added 14 for Cleveland. Johnson scored 15 points for Memphis. Randolph, who left the game in the second quarter to get three stitches to close a cut under his left eye, had 14 points. Calathes, playing in place of the injured Mike Conley, made his first six shots and was 7 of 9 from the field. Randolph went to the locker room late in the second quarter after taking an elbow in the face from Tristan Thompson while they were going for a rebound. Randolph was on the court for a couple of moments and asked for a towel to put to his face. He tapped hands with Thompson before jogging off the court with a team trainer. Randolph returned to start the third quarter. "Teams know we try to go inside to Zach and let him go to work, but weve got to do something with all five guys, not always depend on our horse down there," Said Memphis forward Tayshaun Prince. "We cant allow Zach to always be our hero. It puts us in a tough spot and it puts him in a tough spot." Deng started after missing Fridays game with the flu. NEW YORK -- Paul Bissonnettes suspension for leaving the bench to enter an altercation was reduced from 10 regular-season games to three because of a lack of sufficient video evidence, the NHL announced. The Phoenix Coyotes enforcer was given an automatic 10-game suspension for going after Los Angeles Kings forward Jordan Nolan after his hit on Rostislav Klesla in their pre-season game Sept. 15. Bissonnette contended that he replaced Coyotes prospect Max Domi on the ice, and because it was a pre-season game there wasnt video that showed that was inaccurate. No on-ice officials could definitively say otherwise, according to the league. "Given the totality of these circumstances, including the lack of conclusive video evidence, and Bissonnettes credible assertions regarding the intended legality of his substitution for Domi at the time, the leaguue has decided not to apply the 10-game automatic suspension to Bissonnette," the NHL said in a press release announcing the change. Garrett Celek Super Bowl Jersey. The NHLPA had filed an appeal on Bissonnettes behalf, but that was withdrawn after the league decided to reduce the suspension. Bissonnette did not have the ban wiped out entirely because the NHL said he "must bear some responsibility" for sparking a fight. The 28-year-old tough guy will now forfeit US$11,346.15 instead of $37,820.51. Bissonnette thanked fans and the Coyotes organization in a series of Twitter posts Saturday night. "As much as Im looked at as a plug, grocery stick, duster, it doesnt take away from the amount of respect I have for the game," he tweeted. "Grateful for the time the NHL took to review my case and saw what my intentions were." ' ' '

MILAN, Italy -- AC Milan lost 1-0 at Udinese in the Italian league on Saturday and failed to boost its confidence for the Champions League clash at Atletico Madrid next week. David Bakhtiari Super Bowl Jersey . Antonio Di Natale scored the only goal in the 66th minute, finishing off a great team move by Udinese. "Were disappointed," Milan coach Clarence Seedorf said. "Youre never happy when you lose and certainly more so when certain mistakes could have been avoided. The lads tried tonight and gave what they could but we need to be more clinical in front of goal. "We have to keep in mind our good performances and not forget all that we have done well up until now. Its a football match on Tuesday and we can win it, we are convinced. Everyone saw the first leg and we have to pick up from that performance." Milan remained provisionally 10th after its second successive league defeat. Udinese moved to 13th with its first win in four matches. "Its a fantastic victory against a great club like Milan," Di Natale said. Being International Womens Day, he dedicated the win to his wife "and all the women." Milan enjoyed the best opportunities in the first half and forced teenage goalkeeper Simone Scuffet into several fine saves, notably denying Giampaolo Pazzini from close range with one hand. Cristian Zapata should have given Milan the lead moments earlier but headed a corner wide after being left unmarked at the far post. Scuffet also made a superb diving save shortly after halftime to parry Robinhos header from point-blank range. Milan goalkeeper Christian Abbiati -- who made his league debut when Scuffet was only two years old -- pulled off a brilliant save to deny Roberto Pereyra early on. Udinese improved after the break and took the lead when Pereyra released Bruno Fernandes, who crossed for an unmarked Di Natale to slot home. Substitute Mario Balotelli blasted over the bar shortly afterwards for Milan, while Allan curled an effort narrowly past the top corner for Udinese. Also, relegation-threatened Catania drew 1-1 at home to 10-man Cagliari. Matias Vecino broke the deadlock in the 53rd minute but Catania levelled nine minutes later when Gonzalo Bergessio nodded in Francesco Lodis curling free kick at the far post. Cagliari had to play out the final 17 minutes a man down after Danilo Avelar was sent off following a second booking. Catania almost made the most of the numerical advantage but hit the woodwork twice in quick succession as first Cristiano Biraghis effort crashed off the post before Alexis Rolin headed off the bar. Catania remained second to last. The capital club entered Saturdays contest four points back of Juve after the defending champions were held to a 0-0 draw by Fiorentina on Friday. That result meant that Roma had the chance to close to within one point of the leaders with a win over mid-table Sassuolo, which jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the first 20 minutes with two goals from Simone Zaza. Things got worse for Roma early in the second half when Daniele De Rossi was sent off. However, Ljajic came to the rescue as he converted a penalty kick in the 78th minute before netting the equalizer in the closing moments. Roma goalkeeper Morgan de Sanctis had to take the blame for Zazas opening goal in the 15th minute when he was far too relaxed in taking a backpass from Mapou Yanga-Mbiwa that allowed Zaza to coast in and take the ball before firing it into the empty net. Oren Burks Super Bowl Jersey. Zaza doubled the lead three minutes later as he got in behind the Roma defense and was able to latch on to a long ball from Simone Missiroli before rounding De Sanctis and slotting his shot home. The hosts began to create chances as the first half wore on, but De Rossis foul on Domenico Berardi in the 51st minute earned him a second yellow card and seemed to dash any comeback hopes for Roma. Sassuolo defender Sime Vrsaljko handled the ball inside his own penalty area 12 minutes from time on a shot from Gervinho, and Ljajic held his nerve to cut the deficit in half. And just when it seemed as though Sassuolo would hold on for three big points, Alessandro Florenzi was played in behind the back line by a nice ball from Gervinho, allowing him to feed Ljajic for an easy finish and a dramatic point. In Saturdays other match, Torino and Palermo battled to a 2-2 draw as Torinos Kamil Glik netted the equalizing goal in the 64th minute. ' ' '
